NCCI Experience Rating Change Could Have a Huge Adverse Impact on Your Business

The National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) has filed a “split point” change in their workers compensation experience rating plan with state insurance departments that could have a huge impact on your business. The rate changes could either increase or decrease your current experience rating mod as it takes its effect within the next three years.

According to NCCI’s estimates, over 47,000 employers nationwide may see their experience mod has increased by .10 points or more
An increase of .10 points does not necessarily mean that the premium will increase 10%.
On the other hand, many others may find that their mod has decreased as well.
You may access your experience rating worksheets at least 2 months before your rating effective date at www.ncci.com/worksheets simply by entering your Risk ID and a PIN number provided by NCCI
